Spotlight on Other Initiatives

We would like to draw your attention to other great initiatives which promote research by women and minorities.

The Syllabus Project is an open Zotero library for environmental history, which aims as well at bringing women and people of colour into the syllabi. It has been a great inspiration for our project!

The Women's Committee of the Economic History Society promotes women's careers in economic and social history and encourages the pursuit of women's history and feminist approaches to economic and social history.

The Berkshire Conference of Women Historians promotes scholarship and supports the activities of women in the historical profession.

Women Also Know History promotes and supports the work of historians who identify as women or non-binary, and offers a concrete way to address explicit and implicit gender bias in public and professional perceptions of historical expertise.

Women in Economic History is a working group that supports the careers of young female scholars.

Diversifying and Decolonising Economics (D-Econ) promotes an economics field free of discrimination, including sexism, racism, and discrimination based on approach and geography. This involves promoting inclusive practices at sites that determine what legitimate knowledge is, such as conferences, workshops, journals, editorial boards, boards of economics organisations, syllabi, economics departments, and classrooms.

Académicas Desvergonzadas promotes the dissemination of the female academic merits and research.
